Two contestants alternated picking prizes from four
possibilities and attempting to build pots of
merchandise that came as close to a predetermined
amount as possible without going over. The first
player to go over that amount lost the game while
the first player to win two games became the
champion and faced another opponent. A player could
"freeze" when he or she felt close to the goal. This
forced his or her opponent to try to get closer to
the goal or go over the total and lose. One of the
frequent prizes was the "blank check," good for
one to one-hundred cases of a product.
