Holy psionics! How would you like to be able to read minds,
see into the future and move objects without touching them?
Lotsa fun, huh? Not for Matthew Star! Matthew just wants to
be like all the other kids at Crest Ridge High School in
California, and he wishes those dumb superpowers would
take a hike--especially after an osculatory disaster in which
his girlfriend kisses him and he gets zapped by the "blue
fire" of his paranormal hormones. Sixteen years ago, you
see, Matthew was an infant prince on the distant planet
Quadris, marked for death by cruel invaders. He was rescued
by his guardian, Walt Shepard, and brought to safety on
Earth, but those interplanetary ememies are still after him.
Despite the danger, Matthew tried to lead a normal life as
a student. He excelled at sports and even had a cute girlfriend
named Pam and a friend named Bob. Walt was a science teacher
and football coach at Crest Ridge and posed as Matthew's
legal guardian. By midseason Matthew's powers were expanding
and his activities were no longer based at the school. He now
utilized his powers to help the government fight espionage
and other crimes, on assignments from Major Wymore.
