Everyone deserves a second chance, even a thief, a street racer and a cop who
got in a little too deep. After all, the three women who solve cases for their
elusive boss, Charlie Townsend, are no saints. They're angels... Charlie's Angels.
Set and filmed in Miami, this fun, glamorous, action-packed take on the 1970s
smash hit series introduces us to three new angels, all fearless detectives,
head-turning beauties and close friends.
There's Abby, a Park Avenue princess who became a world-class thief.
Abby’s beauty has always turned heads, but it’s her quick wit and acerbic sense
of humor that really makes her stand out. Abby and her four older siblings grew
up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in a world of privilege. Her father,
Victor, was one of the most respected power players on Wall Street until he
was exposed as a Bernie Madoff level swindler.
It was then that life changed for the Sampson family.
Abby was always rebellious. Her life took a turn at 13 when she stole her first Rolex.
The habit quickly progressed, and instead of studying Shakespeare, Abby spent her
teen years educating herself on the fine art of safe-cracking and high-end cons.
Regular visits to New York’s best shrinks and a stint at an extreme teen boot camp
in Montana could not cure her. The situation reached a disastrous head when Abby
was caught red-handed raiding the jewelry box of her brother’s future mother-in-law
on the night of his rehearsal dinner. Distraught and embarrassed,
her parents cut her off and completely disowned her.
Abby’s initial sense of liberation turned into a living hell when she fell in with a
dangerous crowd. Her life might have fallen completely to pieces… but Charlie stepped in
and offered her a job at the Agency. Abby has worked as an Angel for the past two years.
She has almost no contact with her family but uses her high-society connections,
her ability to get into any building anywhere,
and her skills as a con artist to help with the cases.
Then there's Kate, a Miami cop who fell from grace,
losing both her career and her fiancé.
Kate is an incredible athlete, possesses a razor-sharp intellect, and has the body
of an Amazon. Born and raised in New Orleans, Kate, her mom and two younger brothers
moved to Miami after her father died when she was 15. Life was hard, but Kate
excelled at school and worked odd jobs to help the family survive.
She dreamed of going to college and went to Miami Southern University on a
basketball scholarship. As soon as she graduated, she joined the Miami Police Department.
Kate excelled on the force and became one of the youngest detectives in the department.
Around that time, she also fell head over heels in love with a fellow officer,
Detective Ray Goodson. They moved in together and life was great. It was only when Kate
was recruited into the elite “Fight Organized Crime Unit” (FOCU) that her life began
to spiral out of control. The long months undercover and rampant corruption within
the Unit slowly wore Kate down. She began taking kickbacks and eventually developed
a serious drug-addiction. Her relationship with Ray hit the rocks, and they
eventually broke up when she was arrested after a sting operation against her crooked unit.
With Charlie’s support, Kate got her life back together. She moved in with her family
and joined the Agency full-time. Her background as a police detective comes in handy:
she can analyze a crime scene better than anyone with a badge. She also has an
encyclopedic knowledge of the city’s criminal population and
her network of informants spans Miami’s social spectra.
Finally there's Gloria, a disgraced army lieutenant who has a way with explosives.
When one of the angels' missions ends in Gloria's tragic death, Charlie persuades
them to partner with Gloria's childhood friend, Eve, a street racer with a
mysterious past. They may not know each other yet, but one thing's for sure,
Abby, Kate and Eve will always have each others' backs.
Eve is an exotic beauty with a fiery personality. Eve’s parents were aid workers
in El Salvador and were killed in the civil war when she was 5. She spent the
next five years at St. Theresa’s Orphanage. She was a wild, free spirit who
always got into trouble with her best friend Gloria.
After a harrowing escape from the orphanage and a perilous journey, Eve and Gloria
crossed the border into America. Surviving by street smarts and guts, they found
their way to Gloria’s uncle OSCAR, an auto mechanic in Miami. He took them in and
taught them about cars and life in America. At the age of 18, the girls were
recruited into the notorious Carol City Crew (CCC) and began careers as high-end
car thieves. They were quickly sucked into the intoxicating world of Miami’s underbelly.
Eve’s career as a driver crashed-and-burned when she was arrested for grand-theft
auto and manslaughter. She stole a Lamborghini, got into a high-speed chase, and
plowed into a cab, killing the driver. Gloria was in the vehicle at the time,
but Eve allowed her to escape before the cops arrived. While Gloria enrolled
in the Army, Eve spent four years at Tallahassee Women’s Correctional.
Eve is an ace driver and expert gearhead. From orphan to car thief to inmate,
Eve’s learned to adapt and survive in any environment. Though she’s the newest Angel,
she’s as tough as the other two when it comes to solving cases.
The angels are rounded out by the new Bosley, a hot, young computer hacker who
helps them solve cases and enjoys being surrounded by powerful, beautiful women.
John Bosley is as smart as he is handsome. He can hack any computer and charm any lady.
He is Charlie's righthand man and is the face of the Townsend Detective Agency.
He grew up in the boroughs of New York City with his mother and 3 sisters.
From an early age, Bosley showed signs of extraordinary intelligence.
He could read by 3, and do complex math equations at 6.
While other kids were outside playing stickball, he would spend hours on the
one computer in the house. He built his first motherboard when he was 10.
Worried about her son, Bosley’s mother used to kick him out of the
house to at least play some basketball with the neighborhood kids.
Bored at school, John began using his amazing tech savvy to pull pranks on his
teachers and fellow students. At 14, he hacked into the DMV mainframe and got
himself a driver’s license. By 24, he had used his hacking skills to amass
a $57 million fortune spread across eight bank accounts in five countries.
He lived in a $10 million penthouse apartment in San Francisco and had
properties in Tuscany and St. Barth’s. When the IRS opened a very high-level
investigation, Bosley’s jet-setting lifestyle came to a crashing end.
It was only Charlie’s intervention that saved him from a very long prison sentence.
Bosley has worked for Charlie ever since. His hacking skills and technical knowledge
are put to get use as a detective. He is the rock of support for the Angels.
