Two contestants competed on this updated version of the
1950s game show of the same name. Squares numbered from
one to twenty, were located on a large playing board and
one player selected a square. Two celebrities, each
represented by that square, gave their response to a
question. One celebrity gave the correct answer, the
other an incorrect answer. If the contestant was able
to pick the celebrity with the correct answer, he won
the box and continued to play. To win the game, a player
had to acquire three boxes with the same money amount.
To break the bank, a player had to find three moneybags
scattered throughout the board.
Tom Kennedy hosted the ABC network version. The
program was aired in syndication September 18, 1976 -
September 11, 1977 with host Jack Barry.
Watch a clip from Gene Rayburn's 1985 run of the series.
