ALL STAR BLITZ

April 8, 1985 - December 20, 1985
ABC Daytime Game Show

Host:
Peter Marshall

Announcer:
John Harlan

In this show, two studio contestants and four
celebrity guests attempt to solve a word phrase puzzle.

Players, in turn, chose a star from among twelve possible
game board stars that correspounded to the four celebrity
guests. Each celebrity was connected to three of these
stars and, depending on which star was chosen, a
celebrity gave an answer to a question. The player
either agreed or disagreed with the answer given and,
if correct, won the star. The player kept control of
the game and chose stars until he or she made
an incorrect judgment.

When a series of four stars formed a square around a
celebrity, words, or portions of words making up a
phrase, were revealed. The first player to complete
the phrase won. The first player to solve two
puzzles correctly became the champ.

The champ played a bonus round called the "Blitz
Bonanza." The player spun a wheel to uncover up to
four parts of a six-part puzzle of a name or a well-
known phrase. The player and each of the four
celebrities guessed parts of the phrase. The player
won $250 for each correct word or words, and
$10,000 for solving the puzzle.
